CALAF INDUSTRIAL had on November 26th, 2018, a booth at the CONAMA 2018 Congress where the main objectives of the LIFE PST SORT project, referred to ASR recovery of ELVS, were explained to recyclers and waste management companies. The project aroused also the interest of university lecturers, researchers and local authorities.
At the current level of project development, CALAF proposes the possibility of carrying out tests at the demo plant by the middle of 2019 in order to set a basis of process performances for the target materials, such as recovery and purity rates, capacities, requirements of retro-feeding or not, etc. It is said that expected recovery rates will overpass 80% for some input streams of ELVs and industrial wastes.
